CNN Goes to President University

Cable News Network (CNN) Indonesia held agan the event of “CNN Indonesia Goes to Campus with Yamaha”. After visiting three campuses in JABODETABEK, now President University had been chosen as the last campus by CNN Indonesia Goes to Campus to be visited. The event which was held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 was asked all President University’s students to be participated in seminar about Online Journalism by Sandy Indra Pratama as Managing Editor of “National” desk in, and Talk Show “Young and Creative Digital Industry” by Billy Boen, Founder of Young on Top; and Andovi da Lopez, a YouTuber and Social Media Active. These seminar and talk show had been joined by 274 participants which are 124 from Communications’ students, 139 from students from other majors, and 11 lecturers of President University.

After the seminar and talk show finished at 01.00 pm, students of President University could join three workshops: Infographic by Fajrian, a creative designer from; Photographic Journalism by Safir Makki, a photographer of; Video Journalism by Teguh Yusniwan, Editor of There were 87 students of President University participated in those workshops: 32 students in Infographic workshop, 26 students in Journalism Photography workshop, and 29 students in Video Journalism workshop.

Students were really happy and satisfied with every program from CNN Indonesia Goes to Campus. One of the students, Hana Merissa – Public Relations 2013 said, “The seminar, talk show, and workshop gave us a lot of information especially about digital marketing. Those useful and inspiring contents successfully drives me to become creative teenager”.

Interestingly, the event which was supported by Yamaha gave a lot of prizes to the participants. Students had the opportunity to get merchandises from CNN Indonesia, such as cap, tote bag, and coupon for free photo booth, also a doorprize of IDR 1 million for two lucky persons which was announced at the end of the event. They are Pheseline Felim, student of Public Relations 2013, and Achmad Supardi, lecturer of Communications Study Program. Congratulation!
